Requirements: The Boys & Girls Club is open to children ages 6-18 that are ambulatory and able to provide for their own personal needs in a 1:25 staff to child ratio setting.  Participants not meeting the above requirements must complete and submit a special needs assessment form for review before admittance into the program.  *A Parent & Member Handbook will be given for signature and support of Boys & Girls Club of South Central Kansas expectations.

Program Hours: The summer program hours are Monday through Friday, between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.  The core activities will take place between 9 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.  The early morning and late afternoon hours are reserved for drop-off and pick-up.  The late fee is $1 per minute per child and begins at 5:15 p.m.

On-Site Activities: Each week is filled with fun activities that coordinate with an exciting theme.  Activities include: technology, arts and crafts, physical education, sports, air hockey, foos ball, pool, table games, etc.

Program Fees: The cost per week is roughly $50 per child and equals $350 for the 7 week summer program.  The cost covers planned daily activities, BGCSCK summer t-shirt, breakfast, lunch and afternoon snack and all field trip admission costs.         The 1^st child in the family is $350 and each additional child in the immediate family is $325.                          

Payment: The full payment is expected by June 1, 2012.  The SRS Vision Card is accepted at both locations.  Thanks to the generosity of Private Donors, we are able to provide a limited number of partial scholarships for children whose families can prove economic hardship.  These scholarships are intended for families that are not receiving other forms of financial assistance for child care.  These are not full scholarships and the maximum amount of financial assistance per child is $50.  A 100% refund is available if you cancel by May 25^th; after May 25^th there will be a $40 administration fee withheld from the families refund.  The deadline for a refund request is June 11^th.

Registration: Registration begins NOW!!!  At the time of registration, a down payment of $50 per child is due.  Space is limited so register early to ensure a spot.  The parent orientation dates are Friday, May 18^th at 6:30 p.m. and Friday, June 1^st at 6:00 p.m. (one parent must attend one of the parent orientation meetings before your child can attend the summer program).

For one evening every year, we gather to celebrate these special kids. One winner from our Clubs will be honored for their academic achievements, service to community and strength in overcoming challenges.  Each year, more than 350 business and civic leaders attend this special evening that features a silent & live auction, entertainment by Club members, honoring our volunteers and a memorable celebration of our 1,500 kids.
